The General Structure Of The District Is That Of An Elongate Dome Of Precambrian Rocks Surrounded By Gently Outward - Dipping Permian Sedimentary Rocks. Faults Partly Bound The Precambrian Area, And Near These Faults The Permian Rocks Have Been Dragged So That They Dip Steeply, And In Places Are Overturned.
