Geology

Alteration processes:According to Fields (1977), the alteration exhibits a zonal pattern with a central potassic core surrounded by a phyllic zone and an outer propylitic zone. Farnstrom (1991) describes sericitic (phyllic) alteration that is related in part to mineralization.
