Structure:THE SNEFFELS AND TELLURIDE DISTRICTS ARE IN THE EXTERIOR UNIT OF THE CALDERA. THE RED MOUNTAIN DISTRICT IS IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE HIGHLY FAULTED ZONE., THE SILVERTON CALDERA HAS AN INTERIOR DOWN FAULTED CIRCULAR BLOCK, SURROUNDED BY SOME TILTED AND LOCALLY FAULTED ROCKS, SURROUNDED BY HIGHLY FAULTED ROCKS, AND AN EXTERIOR ZONE OF RELATIVELY UNDISTURBED BUT FISSURED ROCKS.
