THE WESTERN FACE OF THE MOUNTAIN FORMS PART OF THE EASTERN BOUNDARY OF THE RIO GRANDE RIFT. NUMEROUS FRACTURES AND SMALL DISPLACEMENT, DISCONTINUOUS FAULTS TREND EAST-WEST TO NORTHWEST.
